CMDB Hosts Fall 2008 Entering Class for Recruitment Day 2008
Although the day dawned a little foggy, it warmed up early and the 10 visitors to Recruitment Day 2008 enjoyed a great day visiting UCR and the CMDB program. The orientation in the morning provided guests with an overview of the program and a chance to meet the Program Director, Tony Norman, Graduate Advisors Dmitri Maslov and Peter Atkinson, and Student Affairs Officer Kathy Redd. The rest of the day flew by with individual meetings with faculty, a poster session at lunch, a tour of the microscopy facility, and time to relax with continuing students in the afternoon. The day ended overlooking the sparkling lights of Riverside and beyond at the hilltop home of Dr. Tony Norman and Dr. Helen Henry.
